We design customized installations, which are created with a specific client application in mind. Each of them is different and responds to an existing industrial problem. In the scope of these installations there are also pilot installations.
Pilot installations are projects leading to the identification of existing implementation barriers and gathering “know-how” on the process. Such installations allow the collection of data, including the testing of different process conditions, the use of different substrates or several process concepts. Collecting an appropriate amount of data allows for a later more beneficial implementation of projects related to the examined process. This allows to minimize investment and operating costs of the target installation.
When designing a pilot or dedicated installation, it is necessary to first break down the process under consideration into so-called basic processes and consider which of them are the bottlenecks. Bottlenecks inhibit the speed of production, therefore their elimination or reduction of impact plays a key role in the design and subsequent implementation of the pilot plant. Then, a concept of the installation should be prepared, taking into account the equipment enabling to perform the specified basic processes. While designing, it is necessary to remember about size and process limitations of the installation. The design of the pilot installation is carried out in close cooperation with the customer.
